Jesus Alone: Being Obedient to the Word

(James 1:22) Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. People often put up pretenses: they appear to be something they are not! But when we try to “fake it” we never “make it.” Faking it can lead to deception. We may end up in trouble and not even realize it. Merely hearing the Word of God leads to death. It is in obeying the Word of God that we find life, life abundantly.
